We’re looking forward to welcoming you to campus! Move in for fall 2026 officially begins at 7 a.m. Friday, August 14 and continues through 9 a.m. Monday, August 17. Approved groups—such as Redcoat Band members and Hunker Down with Housing volunteers—may move in August 13.

Sorority recruitment participants will find all pertinent sorority recruitment move in information and dates on the PNM MOVE IN 2026 page.

You must choose an arrival time if you are moving in before August 16.

Students moving in Sunday August 16 or Monday August 17 do not need to schedule an arrival time.

Arrival times are allotted by building. Beginning on the date listed below for your assigned residence hall, you may log into The Dawg House with your MyID and password to choose an arrival time. Please schedule your arrival time by Wednesday, August 12.*

Beginning July 7: Brown Hall, Brumby Hall, Building 1516, Building 2266, Busbee Hall, McWhorter Hall, Rooker Hall, Vandiver Hall, UV East, unassigned students

Beginning July 8: Boggs Hall, Church Hall, Hill Hall, Lipscomb Hall, Mell Hall, Morris Hall, Payne Hall, Reed Hall, Russell Hall

Beginning July 9: Black-Diallo-Miller Hall, Creswell Hall, Mary Lyndon Hall, Myers Hall, Oglethorpe House, Rutherford Hall, Soule Hall

* If you do not have a building assignment by July 7, you may sign up for an arrival time in The Dawg House beginning July 7. Once you have a building assignment, your arrival time will be transferred to your building.

Bed height requests

Upon move in, beds will be at their highest point (default height). If you would like your bed lowered before your arrival, complete the BED HEIGHT CHANGE REQUEST by July 21 under FORMS in The Dawg House.

Default height: Minimum of 52″ of clearance under the bed with a mattress height of of 67″)

Mid height: Allows for placement of standard dressers under the bed. Clearance under the bed frame is approximately 33″ and the mattress height is approximately 40″ from the floor

Traditional height: 15.75″ of clearance under the bed with a mattress height approximately 26″ from the floor

Some rooms in Reed, Payne and Building 1516 may have bed height limitations due to ceiling height variations. Check your individual room plan for furniture dimensions specific to your room. You may adjust the bed height yourself after arrival or request a staff-assisted bed height adjustment via work request beginning the first day of class.
