Finding spaces on campus for your events
Classrooms
Several of our on-campus residence halls have classrooms and conference rooms. These spaces can be reserved during your group’s stay to accommodate team meetings, breakout sessions and more.
Lounges and lobbies
All our residence halls have space for informal gatherings in lounges. Some residence halls have additional lounge space that may be reserved during your stay.
Outdoor areas
Housing hosts several large outdoor spaces that may be available to reserve during your group’s stay. These spaces include large quads near many of our buildings.
Staff Presence
The community offices are open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During these hours, University Housing staff members are accessible. Staff members will also be on call after hours and on weekends beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday and ending Monday at 8 a.m. Staff on duty respond to emergencies and major facilities issues. If guests cannot locate a resident assistant for assistance, you may call the community desk to contact an available staff member.
Front desks are staffed 24 hours a day anytime a conference program is in the building.
Internet Access
University of Georgia visitors may access the guest wireless network, UGA_Visitors_Wifi, while on our Athens campus. UGA_Visitors_Wifi is self-service. Visitors can find instructions for accessing this network on the EITS Help Desk site.
Groups should contact UGA EITS (Enterprise and Information Technology Services) prior to scheduled arrival to discuss any internet access needs beyond the guest network provided.

Keys and Access
All conference buildings have card access to enter residential areas of each building and keys to each room. Conference sponsors work with University Housing to determine participant card access needs prior to arrival.
Guests are only given keys to their assigned room or apartment.
Guests are expected to lock their room and/or apartment doors at all times in order to protect the security of their belongings. Guests may sign out a temporary key from the appropriate community desk for up to 24 hours, should they misplace a key.
