Things to do in Athens

Athens is an edgy college town filled with creative energy. You’ll find plenty of adventures on campus and off—in our gardens, museums, craft breweries and forward-thinking restaurants, plus the live music that made the town famous.

Staying on campus

The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and Hotel

When you visit campus, continue your tour experience with a stay at the official hotel of the University of Georgia. Located in the center of campus and within walking distance of multiple attractions, the Georgia Center is a prime destination for visitors. The Georgia Center also offers a free shuttle for guests that will take you around campus and Athens.

Dining on campus

For a more authentic campus experience, why not visit one of the award-winning dining halls? Dining Services offers five residential locations as well as several retail and market locations throughout campus, each offering delicious fare at excellent value. All dining halls are open to the public and take cash or card payments. Don’t go home hungry!
