Dear residents,
This weekend, we expect thousands of visitors for the G-Day spring practice football game in Sanford Stadium, Athens Twilight Criterium downtown and the UGA International Street Festival.
Beginning Saturday morning, full-time staff will check IDs to ensure only residents and their accompanied guests may enter buildings. We ask for your patience as it might take longer to enter while we conduct the verification process. For the security of other residents, be mindful of who you escort into the building—residents are responsible for their guests.
In addition, standard gameday protocols will still be in place:
- Locked exterior doors
- Security cameras to monitor interior and exterior spaces
- Student and full-time staff on call
- Police on call to respond to emergencies
- Lobby restrooms will be closed
As we participate in the action this weekend, let’s work together to keep the community secure and to show the nation how amazing the UGA community is. Have fun, stay safe and GO DAWGS!
