Housing Work Requests

University Housing is home to more than 9,000 residents and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining over 2.8 million square feet of facilities.  Residents should submit a work request for issues pertaining to non-emergency facility issues and the facilities staff will respond to the work request between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.  If you have any questions or changes to the work order you submitted, please contact our Work Control Office at 706-542-3999 or hsgwork@uga.edu and they will respond between 8 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

Emergency Issues

Tell the 24-hour desk or contact the RA on call for the following:

  • No heat
  • No air conditioning
  • Broken window
  • Clogged and overflowing toilet (please turn off water if able to minimize damage)
  • Room key stuck in lock or door will not open
  • Elevators that are malfunctioning
  • Beeping smoke detectors
  • Major water leaks
  • Total power outage in room or apartment
