Spring break reminders and closing instructions

Hello residents,

I hope your semester is going well and that you are preparing for a well-deserved spring break. Your residence hall closes for the break. You must exit the building by noon on March 7 and should not plan to return until the halls reopen at noon March 15.   

When you leave for the break, please complete the following tasks:

  • Turn the heat on and put the thermostat on the lowest heat setting
  • Pack all essential items (medication, passport, fish, electronics, chargers, etc.)
  • Take your UGACard with you
  • Clean room/apartment as best as possible
  • Take all trash and recycling to the dumpsters
  • Return clean Bulldog Boxes to the dining hall
  • Close and lock all windows and lower the blinds
  • Remove all perishables from the refrigerator and the room
  • Turn off all lights
  • Lock your door(s)  

In addition to normal maintenance and cleaning, University Housing staff will enter every room to ensure you have followed the steps listed above. I hope you have a wonderful and safe spring break.
