Summer Registration

COVID-19 Update: Our current operations are considered non-closure, emergency operations – meaning we are open but only housing limited students at this time.

Because all May session and summer semester course offerings will be online, and to minimize the number of individuals who remain on campus, University Housing is not planning to house any new students enrolled for summer school classes in our residence halls at this time. Only those enrolled students who have received permission to live on campus for the rest of the spring 2020 semester and whose extenuating circumstances will not have changed for the summer may continue to live on campus.

Summer school at UGA offers students the opportunity to focus on a difficult class or to get ahead on credit hours, and living on campus means no sitting in traffic in a hot car, no outrageous power bills and plenty of opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. University Housing offers summer housing in Reed Hall and possibly Payne Hall to current on- and off-campus residents.

Students may register for housing using The Dawg House link to the right only for the summer sessions in which they are enrolled in class. For example, to stay the whole summer you need to be enrolled in at least one May and one thru session class or one May, one short session I and one short session II class.

Priority registration for summer housing will begin in Mid-March. Due to the first-year live-on requirement, the Housing Assignments Office cannot guarantee summer housing for currently enrolled students.

Check our Resources section for detailed information on Student Assignments Policies; Contracts, Fees and Payment; Rules and Policies; Moving In/Moving Out and Roommate Matching, Changes and Rapport.

Please see the table below for summer school rates.

All summer school rates will be billed directly to Student Accounts, with payments due on the dates established by the Bursar's Office. All communication regarding billing will be delivered via student's official UGA email account from Student Accounts.

For any additional questions regarding summer session sign-up, please email or call the housing assignments office at 706-542-1421.
