Affectionately dubbed "O-House" by residents, Oglethorpe House is a nine-story building arranged in suites composed of two bedrooms and a bathroom. A limited number of single rooms are also available. Each room comes furnished with 17-position adjustable beds, two desks, two three-drawer pedestals, and one four-drawer dresser.
Oglethorpe House features full-service laundry facilities, vending machines, foosball, ping pong tables, a television lounge and study rooms. A 24-hour front desk monitors access to the building and delivers mail and packages. For sumer 2015, Oglethorpe House will host the Freshman College Summer Experience, a unique program for regularly-admitted first-year students which affords them six credit hours towards graduation and the chance to acclimate to the collegiate lifestyle over the course of a month before the academic year begins in the fall.
Getting to dinner is a snap for the residents of O-House, as Oglethorpe Dining Commons is located right next door. A bus stop in front of the building provides service to the rest of campus.
