Reed Hall, built in 1953, is very popular with students because of its central location on campus, suite-style rooms and year-round housing. Located directly behind Sanford Stadium, Reed Hall residents enjoy living just a few steps from fall football games, as well as being close to the Miller Learning Center, the Tate Student Center and the University Bookstore. On a pretty day, residents are likely to be found hanging out on Reed Quad, the large grassy area in front of Reed Hall ideal for playing Frisbee, tailgating for football games or studying in fresh air. Each room is furnished with desks, chairs, dressers and 17-position adjustable beds.
Reed Hall underwent a renovation in 1998, which incorporated a large lobby area on the main floor, as well as a open community area on the basement level with a floor-to-ceiling windows that feature a direct view of Sanford Stadium.
The visitation option for Reed Hall is “2”, which allows for visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
