First occupied in 1961, Lipscomb Hall is all-female hall nearly identical to the four other four-story buildings located in the Hill Community, which house approximately 160 students each. Beginning fall 2014, Lipscomb will be coed by floor. Like Boggs, Church, Hill, and Mell Halls, the rooms in Lipscomb Hall are traditional doubles, home to two women per room. In addition to built-in furniture, 17-position adjustable beds, high-speed Internet access and cable television, each room is equipped with a sink. Common bathrooms are located on every floor and are cleaned daily by our custodial staff.
Lipscomb Hall is also equipped with laundry and kitchen facilities, vending machines and study lounges. A 24-hour community desk, located in Hill Hall, provides package pick-up, spare keys and eqipment checkout. Resident assistants are assigned to each floor and are on duty nightly to respond to resident concerns.
