Hill Community
The Hill Community is comprised of six individual residence halls situated conveniently at the heart of campus near the intersection of Baxter and Lumpkin Streets. The four-story Boggs, Church, Hill, Lipscomb and Mell Halls, known commonly as "the Lower Five," offer a traditional residence hall experience. Oglethorpe House is a nine-floor, suite-style community located adjacent to Oglethorpe Dining Commons and just across the parking lot from the Lower Five.
All six of these residence halls are just a short walk from the Tate Student Center, Sanford Stadium, the University Bookstore, Clark Howell Hall and Legion Pool. The adjacent Legion Field has hosted some of the world's biggest musical acts, including Pearl Jam, Destiny's Child, The Dixie Chicks and R.E.M. Food is never far away either, as all six halls are close to Bolton Dining Commons, as well as Oglethorpe Dining Commons.
Hill Community residents should read the Hill Community Resident Guide for the most up-to-date information about access to amenities within the Hill Community and basic policies and procedures.
