2014-2015 Break and Semester Closing Dates

Fall Semester Check In: All Communities

The Hunker Down with Housing move-in celebration begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.

Brumby, Creswell, Russell, Hill and Myers Communities, Morris Hall and Building 1516
Students residing in these communities should plan accordingly as stated in the below chart. More detailed information will be sent to each resident's UGA email account prior to each closing.

FALL BREAK

  • The residence halls will not close for fall break 2014.

THANKSGIVING BREAK

  • Reed Hall, Payne Hall and East Campus Village remain open during the break.
  • All other residence halls will close at noon on Sunday, November 23, 2014, and reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014.

WINTER BREAK

  • Reed Hall, Payne Hall and East Campus Village remain open during the break. 
  • All other residence halls will close at noon on Friday, December 19, 2014, and reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015. 

SPRING BREAK

  • Reed Hall, Payne Hall and East Campus Village remain open during the break.
  • All other residence halls will close at noon on Saturday, March 7, 2015 and reopen at 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015.

YEAR END

  • Traditional Halls & ECV's Vandiver Hall close at noon on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
